Stawamus Chief Provincial Park Stawamus Chief Provincial Park is a 506 hectare park that was established in 1997 to protect the 700 m (2310 ft) granite cliffs that provide some of the world's best rock climbing. Rock climbing, hiking and nature viewing are all recommended activities while visiting the park. Stawamus Chief Provincial Park is also home to 63 campsites. Wintering bald eagles from along the Pacific coast congregate here annualy, creating a visual spectacle that attracts hundreds of people.
