    Tantalus Provincial Park is located north of Squamish and is home to varied terrain and breath-taking scenery. The scenic Lake Lovely Water and the park's hiking trails are popular attractions. The park is located in a remote area with limited access so all visitors must be prepared for the wilderness.

    With a small beach and clear water, Wayside Park is a popular spot for canoeing and kayaking. Rentals are available onsite and additional amenities include picnic tables, BBQs and a washroom.

    Lost Lake Park
    Located on Lost Lake, this park is popular due to its mountain biking and cross-country skiing trail network. There are also washrooms, picnic tables, BBQs, and a summer concession stand available onsite. The park features a doggie beach located just off the main beach and fishing is possible in the well-stocked lake.

    Upper Lillooet Provincial Park
    Established in 1997, Upper Lillooet Provincial Park protects old-growth forests, wetland habitat and glaciers. The park is located in a remote area, with no developed trails or facilities. It is a great destination for backcountry hiking, wilderness camping and photography.

    South Chilcotin Provincial Park
    A beautiful new provincial park that allows visitors to trek through the Taylor Basin where over 200 species of wildflowers have been found. There are six wilderness camping areas with no facilities. Be sure to bring your fishing gear.

    Duffey Lake Provincial Park
    This 2007 ha park's central feature is Duffey Lake. Visitors can marvel at views of Mt. Rohr while taking part in popular activities such as hiking (although there are no developed trails), fishing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking and backcountry camping.

    Stawamus Chief Provincial Park
    Stawamus Chief Provincial Park is a 506 hectare park that was established in 1997 to protect the 700 m (2310 ft) granite cliffs that provide some of the world's best rock climbing. Rock climbing, hiking and nature viewing are all recommended activities while visiting the park. Stawamus Chief Provincial Park is also home to 63 campsites. It is located next to Shannon Falls Provincial Park.

    Blackcomb Glacier Provincial Park
    Created in 1990 to protect the Blackcomb Glacier, this 250 ha (618 acre) park is located above Whistler Village. Visitors can hike here in the summer and ski and snowboard in the winter. Access in summertime is by a trail leading to the park while in the winter guests have to take a number of chairlifts.

    Clendinning Provincial Park
    Clendinning Provincial Park is an interesting park. It is comprised of ancient forests, tranquil meadows and imposing glaciers. The varied topography and remote locale make it popular with those interested in backcountry recreation. Due to the lack of access and facilities all visitors must be self-suffecient.

    Cornwall Hills Provincial Park
    Cornwall Hills Provincial Park has a very fragile environment, thus vehicle access is not allowed. Although there are no camping or day use facilities, the park is visited by photographers and nature lovers alike due to the colourful explosion of wildflowers in July and August. Wilderness hiking and hang-gliding are also permitted.

    Callaghan Lake Provincial Park
    Callaghan Lake Provincial Park is a popular year-round recreation area, with an average snow pack of 275 centimetres during the winter months. The abundant snow allows for excellent cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and telemarking, often offering 150 days of skiing per year. Fishing, canoeing and hiking are popular during the warm summers.

    Alpha Lake
    Located in Whistler Creekside, Alpha Lake features a beach where locals and visitors can spend some time in the sunshine. The lake can be used for fishing, canoeing and swimming, while BBQs, picnic tables, tennis and volleyball courts, a playground and washrooms are available on shore.

    Marble Canyon
    This small provincial park is located between Turquoise and Crown Lakes and has several mountains that are chalk-faced. These make for excellent climbing and hiking due to the effects of errosion to create such sights as Chimmney Rock and Limestone Canyon. 40km northwest of Cache Creek near Lillooet.

    Porteau Cove Provincial Park
    Explore the rocky beach and the underwater wonders of Porteau Cove. A haunt of scuba divers, a ship has been sunk here for the divers to explore, and also attracts diverse marine life. Waterside camping facilities are available.

    Seton Portage Historic Provincial Park
    At 0.7 ha (1.7 acres), Seton Portage Historic Provincial Park is one of the smallest parks in BC. The area was set aside to commemorate the province's first railway. Supplies for camps set up at the Bridge River Valley mines during the 1930s gold rush came through Seton Portage before heading to the camps. There are no facilities at this park and to gain access visitors must use the gravel road from Shalalth to Seton Portage.

    Brackendale Eagles Provincial Park
    Located in the Squamish River watershed, Brackendale Eagles Provincial Park is a special place. Wintering bald eagles from along the Pacific coast congregate here annualy, creating a visual spectacle that attracts hundreds of people. In 1994, almost 4,000 eagles were counted in the park, a world-record concentration of the noble birds.
